I love anthropologie but......

I am having a major moral dilemma. I love anthropologie so much the clothes are great the decor is fabu, and when ever i look at the website i am so inspired. I also love Urban outfitters and Free people. They are all amazing artistic stores, and of course they are, they are all the same company. I want to put this out to my readers. I am not one to involve myself in politics etc. I love pretty things and crafty stuff, but how can i keep shopping at these stores after Urban put out this horrible t-shirt ( see link below), and maybe i could let it go if only last summer they did not sell a Kafiya as an "Anti-war scarf" . What am i to do? What would you do? At this point i will never step foot in any of these stores again! Pic and more info here.

I win I win I win!!!

I won a contest and i can't believe it. I never win anything. Now everyone says that but i really NEVER WIN ANYTHING! No love from the cake walk, no raffle numbers of mine ever called, my name is never selected, but finally my day has come. Ok so i've over done it a bit, but i won a really cool baby book from this blog here. I like it because it is recycled and i love the look of things hanging from the ceiling. I decor my children's room mostly with dangly things. Now if i could someday produce girls ( not just boys) i would decorate her room in only dangly things like chandeliers many of them actually because no girl should grow up without large amounts of chandeliers hanging from her ceiling." Finally my quirky humor is paying off !
I also won because i figured out how to make an awesome shilohette from a pic. One of my favorite blogs Thompson family life is always packed full of such creative ideas i am actually suprised it has taken me this long to steal on of her ideas. Thanks for all the inspiring ideas Danielle.

Stayin up late...

Did you know that stayin up all night was so much fun ....when i was 18. Now i'm just tired and for some reason my kids didn't want to sleep in also. I stayed up very late with my partner in crime ( Ms. Chanie) making 30 Pushkas ( tzedakah boxes) for her Bas Mitzvah club. It was so much fun, but i have to admit i did regret it the next day.

Thriftin

Today i went to one of my favorite thrift stores in the area that happens to be a goodwill. I love this store because most of the shoppers are there to buy items that look like they got them new. For example people who go to thrift stores to buy Gap jeans. Now this is all fine and dandy but i am there to find the vintage scores that no one in my area is interested in. Sometimes i do GREAT and sometimes i find absolutely nothing. Today i did pretty good. I found an old parcheesi game dated 1964 in awesome shape i hung the board up ( looks great but after i hung it i realized these games sell for A LOT of money, oops) . I also found these beautiful tea cups. Now when i buy tea cups or little tea saucers i have to admit i do it in fear. Why you ask, well due to "scary yelling Persian woman" who works next door. One time i was purchasing some amazing tea cup vintage finds and she came barging into the store yelling this is not Kosher to me. Well duh i know this and I attempted to explain to this 70 yr old woman that i will not be using but decorating with these little finds, but that answer did not satisfy her. Oh well now i buy in fear. My friend Chanie says this stuff only happens to me. Soon you'll get your turn just wait Chanie Baltimore is a small small town.
