My gown, oh so modest and very tznius tutorial too!

For my son's Bar Mitzvah i decided to make my gown. This was a crazy roller coaster of taking on to much but in the end i did like my gown. I want to offer a tut on how to make most patterns tznius ( modest). I bought this pattern here because of the sleeveless arms. It is much easier to add sleeves to something that is sleevless than say a tank. It also has a high neck.
This is a very easy pattern i look for patterns that say things like "its so easy" or " done in 2 hours" these kind of patterns are best when you plan to add and embelish.
1. First make the dress according to the pattern, do not finish the sleevless part since you will be adding to them.
2. Use a sleeve from a pattern for a top. You can either buy or use one you have. The most important thing here is to make sure you like the fit of the sleeves. So don't use a pattern for bell sleeves if you want tailored sleeves.
3. Lastly add the sleeves to the dress according to the directions from the top pattern not the dress pattern. Some alterations may be made to fit properly make these alterations on the seam under the arm so not visible.
Good luck. Oh yah i also added lengh to the gown that is simple just cut the pattern longer.
