This Lag Ba'Omer, of course we spent in Crown Heights, because how could we miss the "Great Parade".We had an amazing time and my kids loved every minute of it, but i had something happen that put a cherry on top of this trip. After the festivities we decided to eat lunch and shop on Kingston. I stopped in "Little Toes" on Kingston. This is a very Chic swanky boutique that sells very expensive baby shoes, and accessories for girls. Right up my ally, so i had to go in. I really wanted to buy Rozie some over the top expensive but absolutely adorable NY baby slippers, but she is just so tiny. I fell in love with these slippers above they looked more like the pink ones but they were gold. I brought Rozie in to try and of course even the newborn size was too big. The sales girl was shocked she looked at me and said " How old is she?" and when i replied she was 9 months she couldn't believe it. I then went to explain that she had Down syndrome and was small for her age. When i get to this point in a conversation with a stranger i never know how it might go and i always have a few flutters in my stomach. This sales girl looked at my Rozie stroked her face and proceeded to tell me how beautiful my princess is, and went on about what a beautiful little girl Rozie is. It was like she couldn't get enough of my gorgeous Rose.I had to leave the store because the tears were quickly coming. Trust me when my Rozie fits in those shoes guess where i'm going to buy them. I thank Hashem everyday for all the wonderful gifts he has given me including seeing the best in people through my daughter's eyes. We'll be back Little Toes!
