Rozie's birthday is coming and as it gets closer my blogging is falling to the back burners. Sorry guys little girls turning three who are about to light their very own Shabbos candle for the first time take priority. We continue on with our daily camp mommy activities.

Hey do you guys remember our little garden we started i wrote about it here. Well believe it or not it grew into an actual garden. It is so full and yummy looking that the deer come and regularly snack on it. No joke it has seriously brought me to tears. My first successful garden eaten by Bambi, so rude.

This is actually our second batch of tomatoes because the first batch was enjoyed, by you guessed it, the deer.

See those tall green stakes in the back they use to be full of sweet peas, guess where those went?
We are trying a few methods to keep the deer at bay, and it is working some. My lettuce is back and the tomatoes are growing again. The sweet peas are looking sad and i hope they come back.

I want to wish everyone Wonderful Shabbos and an easy fast. B"H i am not fasting and hope to keep the little ones busy. This year sadly the fast falls on Rozie's Hebrew birthday, but we will make up for the next Sunday!

Summer flight

This summer is flying by. Why is that? Why does the summer just whip past and the winter just drags and drags. I can not believe that im starting to think about lunch boxes and backpacks. Yes you read that right plural lunch boxes, and Mel does not use a lunch box at Yeshiva. That means only one thing, a little itty bitty girl just might be starting preschool in the fall. I know, im totally flipped out about it, and im not even ready to talk about it im more in the denial stage. Anyways summer is flying by and camp mommy is going strong. We continue with our weekly trips and days by the pool. My birthday also creeped in there, and since i took on last year to make an effort to celebrate my birthday every year. I grabbed a group of girls and we went out for sushi and drinks. So much fun ! I had hoped to make another party like last year, but with Rozie turning three in a few weeks im way too overwhelmed with her big party to make my own, but no worries we still had a blast.

After the drive to PA and back ( about an hour each way) we stopped at a farmers market because Dovie got carsick. He use to get carsick  when he was a baby, but with all the trips we have been going on its coming back. Poor guy. I need to buy him those pressure wrist bands.

We hatched a butterfly , this is the cocoon. It flew away too quick for me to get a picture.

We got the power!

So the story is simple and easy to tell. Baltimore received an unexpected hurricane like storm . We lost all our power for 5 days, after day three i gave up and we went to stay with family in New York. I am very thankful we only lost power. My neighbor had a tree come through her roof and next to them a telephone pole split in half and went right through their car. We are just now settling back in and my town is starting to look normal again. Grocery stores have reopened and im slowly restocking my fridge and freezer. Camp mommy has continued in full force. When i come home i literally crash and hope that dinner makes itself. Camp mommy has been so much fun and so exhausting wrapped into one ball. I do have to admit that i am sucking up as much of this time with my kids as i can, and my face falling flat into my pillow each night is well worth it. Here are some pics from New York, 4th of July and other summer fun. Now i must go to bed my pillow is calling my name in a muffled sleepy whisper, besides i need my rest we are going to the beach tomorrow. I hope all of you are enjoying your summer.

Fight the power!

Do you ever feel powerless in life? Feeling victim to the world's uncertainty? Well we are actually powerless, literally. We had a huge hurricane like storm, completely out of the blue. We have been without power since Friday and I only have my IPad that we can charge in the car, so I won't be back till the lights are on. Enjoy your week and give your air conditioner a little extra hug from me.
