Whats in your wallet , or huge handbag?
Have you guys ever see this on other blogs? The blogger will empty her purse and explain all its contents. I am obsessed with this, i love this kind of stuff. When i was a little girl i use to love to empty my mom's purse and look at each item one by one. Truth be told i would look through any of your purses if you let me, and your drawers, and bathroom cabinets. I dont know why i care im not looking for juicy gossip to share with the world. Its more i just like stuff, and i like to see what stuff other people like and need . Dont ask im a stuff freak. Now since you are patiently waiting, my purse..........
1. Yes lets get the white elephant out of the room. That is a Redbox movie. No i do not regularly rent videos they are hard to watch on my no TV. But my home computer works in case of an emergency, and this was a Redbox emergency. Hunger Games just came out and I NEEDED to see it. Unfortunately it was terrible. The books where amazing, but the movie... The odds were not in its favor.2. Why yes that is a foldable toilet seat with princesses on it, for my little princess who refuses to sit on a public toilet that could literally eat her alive, so she thinks.
3. Little menchies ( toy people) that often save the day to keep little hands busy. They are actually the little guys who use to be my blog header. Do u guys remember that?
4. Lysol wipes, this goes with the toilet seat. Since potty training Rozie i am now personally acquainted with most public restroom, and me being a crazy ( we already established that) i usually do a full stall wipe down.
5. Tums and lemon juice. I need to drink tons of water ( i prefer lemon water) and i eat tums like candy. Unfortunately chemo messed my tummy up for life. Chemo sucks, bet u didnt know that.
6. Ok another confession. I love tiny soaps and lotions, and i often steal them off housekeeping carts. Dont ask.
7. Huge prescription Jackie-O sunglasses. My vision is so bad that i can not ever go without glasses. I usually dont bother with sunglasses because i hate doing the glasses switch, but during chemo i realized that sunglasses are great. You look fabulous and feel like sh*@
8. Nuk therapy brush, becasue one day Rozie will put that tounge in her mouth permantly, ONE DAY!!!!!
9. Last but not least a little fancy necklace, because you should always have a spare.

And the winner is .........
I'm so sorry i did not post the winner of the cookbook on Friday. We had a family situation and i wasn't able to get online. Please know everyone is ok B"H but we did lose someone very close to us. BDE.
......................................................................................................................................
Now on to the giveaway. When i do giveaways i use random number generator. This way i feel its fair and im not picking favorites. All you do is enter how many entries and it picks a random number. That is why i like you guys to enter separate posts for everything you do for the giveaway, it ups your chances. Well this week this winner is number "38", pretty random right? Well i counted and recounted all the entries to make sure it was correct and the winner entry number 38 is Menucha S.. So why is that such a big deal well i'll tell you why. This happens to be someone i know and i also happen to know that she wins EVERYTHING! Im not joking she has some sort of winning Mazel. Seriously she has won some amazing stuff. I dont get it. When i counted the entries and saw she was number 38 i almost skipped her and went to number 39, but i decided against it. This is who is suppose to win, what can i do? It was random. So here is the deal Mrs.Menucha i will only declare you the winner and you will only get a cookbook if you are willing to make one of the recipes in the book and share it with all of us. Pics included. If you accept please let me know and ill have it sent to you. Yes you are the queen of winnings but im going to make you work for it this time.
While we are waiting for her response how about some pics...
Have a great week everyone!

Lemonade dreams
Yes folks its official we made a lemonade stand.
See i lived on 20 acres of desert land with no neighbors. This here is where i actually grew up. If you click the map larger you can actually see my house it is to the right of the dropped red arrow. I wonder who lives there now? Anyways It would of been just sad to make a lemonade stand on our small dirt road.
I finally decided to fulfill my childhood dream of selling baked goods and fresh lemonade on the side of the road. I mean my kids dream of selling lemonade on the side of the road :). We pulled together some friends and they sold their little hearts out.
They actually sold everything. It was all very exciting!. Im a little sad to see how quickly summer is flying by i feel like im trying to suck every ounce left out of it.
Don't forget about the GIVEAWAY tomorrow is the last day. Click here in case u missed it.

What do you love the most about summer? I love the smell of sunscreen and chlorine. I love the feel of the hot sun on my skin. I love little fat baby feet squishing out of sandals. Oh i could go on and on.

OOps!
I realized today that i never posted the birthday invitation, and it was so darn cute that i have to post it today.
See now isn't that worth an entire blog post to itself. The most common question i got about his invitation is , where? Where is the dress and bow from. The bow is from one of MyShtub's amazing sponsors Leilani Finds you can find her shop here. She custom made this bow on a clip for Rozie since she doesn't wear headbands yet. She is so sweet i would recommend ordering all you back to school and Yom Tov bows from her!
Rozie's dress is from the discount site Zulily i order a lot of her clothes from there. They have such cute funky looks. You have to sign up for their site here is a link. Trust me its worth the time. The only thing is you have to grab stuff quick or it will be gone.
Alright that is enough for now dont forget to enter the giveaway, and have a WONDERFUL SHABBOS!
*Oops sorry one more thing as you guys might have noticed i changed my comment format on the blog. Blogger comment system has given so many of you problems, so im trying this out. Let me know what you think......

Giveaway Alert : Maui Kosher Cookbook!
I have a confession to make.... I dont like to cook*. There i said it and i feel so much better. "World this yiddisha mamala does not like to cook, i will not be making chicken soup for anyone". I will drop the pan and go out to eat quicker then my husband can say "whats for dinner". I wish i had more love for cooking and trust me ive tried. With that all said i have purchased tons of cookbooks to try to help me and my cooking aversion. Usually i dont have the patience for the complicated recipes, so they just collect dust. Recently my friend Danit sent me a cookbook she wrote called " Maui Kosher Quick and Easy Recipes". Just my style, give me quick and easy and ill do it. Give me complicated and hard and my kids will be eating Bite Burgers (again) for dinner ( that is a local fast food kosher place here). I decided to try her Sushi salad recipe out. I've made sushi before for my kids and they love it. It is one of the rare occasions they eat vegetables. But the hassle of making sushi has encouraged me to order sushi in more often then to make it. I thought the sushi salad might be my answer.
The recipe was easy to follow and i used my $17 Target rice maker i love, to speed things along. In the end it was super easy and tasted great. My kids ate the entire plate up and it has now become a weekday regular for us. Thanks Danit i cant wait to incorporate more of your recipes into our home.
Now before i go on i want to tell you a little about Danit the author. You can read her bio here but i want to give you a more personal bio. Please dont hate me Danit.....
Danit Schusterman is not only the author of this cookbook, but along with her husband she runs the Maui Chabad center. She also writes a blog about homeschooling her kids, you can check it out here. She runs a Hebrew school and probably a million other things i dont know about. I dont personally know Danit, but we have become online friends after i discovered a beautiful article she wrote a few years ago in the N'shei Newsletter about having her twins. Yes this is Danit, no wonder she created such a fabulous cookbook with great recipes and gorgeous pictures to along with each recipe.
Now the exciting part We are going to be giving one lucky MyShtub reader their very own Maui Kosher Cookbook and all you have to do to enter is...
1. Comment here about what you do or do not like about cooking.
2. Like Maui Kosher on Facebook
3. Like Myshtub on Facebook.
I will be picking a winner one week from today!
* Please dont get me wrong i do cook for my family almost every night. I also make a large Shabbos for my family and guests, but i choose to make tons of salads to compensate for the lack of cooked foods. Im know for my salads and love discovering new salad recipes. So no need to worry the MyShtub family is eating well.

Birthday Nachas
I did it!!! I made a backyard party with at least 150 guests. I seriously dont know how i did it, well yes i do. It is called one good friend named Chani, who saved me. There were many kinks i wished i ironed out better, but what is done is done. It kind of reminded me of my wedding, all the planning and when the big day finally comes it goes by so quick that you forgot to try the food and say hello to everyone. It was a beautiful event and it was wonderful to see so many people come out to celebrate with Rozie. So many people who love and support her. She is our local star , and it warms my heart. I need this for her because as many of you know a child with special needs can easily become the opposite, ostracized and left out. I refused to let that be my Rozie, not when she was born , not today , not ever. One of my biggest goals with this blog was to give each and everyone of you a different look into Down syndrome. I know before i had Rozie i had an opinion and feeling about people with Down syndrome that i'm embarrassed to admit i ever felt.
In the Lubavitch custom when a little girl turns three she has the honor of starting to light her own Shabbos candle. For Rozie's birthday she received her very own candle stick that is only hers. She will now stand next to me Friday nights and light her own candle bringing more light into this world. Read more about it here and here. Roze is a special Neshama that was born one day after Tisha B'Av on Yud Av, that happened to fall on Eruv Shabbos that year. I dreamed of this day since that day Hashem blessed us with this special soul.
( These pics are actually from a Chanukah time, i never shared them before because they were for a photo shoot in the Moshiach Time,Tzivos Hashem magazine)
Now onto the pictures....
Im sorry to say that it was very hard for me to photograph the party. It is actually almost impossible to photograph your own party, but i tried. I wish i got more of the dessert buffet, i worked so hard on it,but as soon as i put the food out it was demolished before i could get my lens in there.
I love the next picture because it is of Rozie and her best friend primping each other. Rozie just fixed her friends strap, and she was wiping Rozie's dress.
Friends who love Rozie, more than words
This is a classic picture. Eating for two!
Do you know who else loves this girl more than words?
You got to love it. I made everyone wear pink and no one complained.
from here, so darn fast?
Mazel Tov my sweet Nechama Roza. Everyone is so proud of the little girl you have become , and you give us all such nachas every single day!
